Crestworthy

The software

Keep the customers you already have

Crestworthy is a small piece of software for staying in touch with the people who already buy from you. Your customer list lives in it, and writing to them takes one screen.

No contract. Nothing to cancel.

What is in it

What does the Crestworthy portal do?

The Crestworthy portal does four things, and that is the whole list. It keeps your customer list, sends one email to everybody on it, keeps a record of what you sent, and puts you one button away from a real person.

Your customers. Names, email addresses, and anything you want to remember about them. It is your list. You can take it with you whenever you like.

Adding somebody to your list.

A note to all of them. One screen. You write the thing you want to say and it goes out. Unsubscribes are handled for you, so you are not the one keeping track.

Writing one, start to finish.

What you have sent. A plain record of every note that went out and who it went to.

Looking back at what went out.

Ask us anything. A button that reaches a real person. Not a search box full of articles, and not a robot that offers you five things you did not ask for.

Asking us something.

What is not in it

What has been left out?

Almost everything. The Crestworthy portal has no menu with twenty things in it, nothing to set up before you can use it, no settings screen you have to get right first, and no part of it that assumes you already know how software like this works.

Everything that is missing is missing on purpose. It was taken out so that the four things above are easy to find on a phone, in a shop, with somebody waiting at the counter.

Who it is for

Who is the Crestworthy portal for?

The Crestworthy portal is for small businesses in Albuquerque with somewhere between one and twenty people: shops, restaurants, salons, garages, and the sort of business where the owner is also the one serving customers.

It was built for one kind of person: somebody running a real business, who is good at the work, and who has no interest in becoming good at software in order to keep doing it.

That is not a smaller version of a bigger product. It is the whole brief. Every decision in it was made by asking what that person would do next, and then removing whatever got in the way of it.

This comes out of twelve years at Mailchimp building for small businesses, and a lot of afternoons since in shops around Albuquerque asking owners what actually gets in their way. Read the whole story.

What it costs

What does the Crestworthy portal cost?

The Crestworthy portal is not priced on its own yet, and we would rather say that than make a number up. The first people using it are showing us what it takes to look after properly, and we would sooner set a price once than pick one now and change it on you later.

What we do charge for today: an hour and a half of our time is $150, for sitting down and working something out. Bigger pieces of work cost more, and we tell you exactly what before anything starts.

So tell us about your business and we will tell you where it stands. Fifteen minutes, and nothing happens that you did not ask for.

We also make free feature videos about Albuquerque businesses. That is a separate thing, and you do not need one to use any of this. Read about it if you are curious.
